Strandprint can provide Hair Analyses for ALL hair types; kinky, curly, wavy, straight, etc. We can also test bleached, dyed, or heat damaged hair. You do not need to have a specific hair type in order to purchase a Hair Analysis.

You can get a full refund any time before you send your hair sample back to us, for up to one year after your purchase. Once we've received your sample, we're no longer able to offer a refund, since at that point we're analyzing hair that's unique to you and can't reuse the work.If you bought a Complete Analysis and feel like your product or routine recommendations aren't working, we want to help! Hair analyses give in-depth information on the physical characteristics of the hair (elasticity, porosity, width) which can help determine what products will likely be best for your hair. Sometimes hair loss can be a result of using the wrong products, but it is most often caused by genetics or underlying medical conditions. Yes! When purchasing, please specify that the order is a gift. You can then select to have the profile emailed to your email address, or the address of the person receiving the gift. Please note that the sample collection kit will be sent to the address listed when purchased, so be sure to enter in the address you want the sample kit to be sent to. If you do not want to purchase a Hair Profile for someone else, you can also purchase a gift card to our website.

We recommend a new analysis every six months, as hair can change considerably over that time. A follow-up around six months after your first analysis is especially useful for confirming what's working and fine-tuning your routine. It's also worth getting analyzed after any major change to your hair, such as coloring, bleaching, frequent heat styling, or significant sun exposure.

We retain your hair sample for three months after your analysis in case a re-analysis is needed, then dispose of it with no identifying information attached. If you'd prefer that we destroy your sample immediately after the analysis, simply note this in your questionnaire or email us at info@strandprint.com. Please keep in mind that if your sample has already been destroyed and a re-analysis becomes necessary, you'll need to provide a new sample at your own shipping cost, though this is rare.
